I hold a Ph.D. in Education and am a NYS licensed School District Administrator and certified Elementary Teacher.   Originally from Northeastern New York on Lake Champlain, I attended a small, K-12 school district.  As the youngest of 4, I would be the only one to attend college.  My dream was to become a kindergarten teacher.  After teaching in a local school district, I joined BOCES as a school administrator and have never looked back.  I spent 8 years serving as the Early Intervention Official and preschool special education on the county level and 5 years leading school programs to support the social emotional development of K-12 students.  After 25 years in education, I wanted to return to early education and was thrilled to join the dedicated team at WIGGLES & GIGGLES.

At WIGGLES & GIGGLES, I am simply, Miss Wanda.  The favorite part of my day is stopping in to see the children and playing a minute or two!  I believe in play-based learning where activities are child-driven and teacher-guided.  We promote development when we provide a safe, supportive, caring environment in which everyone feels loved, valued, and accepted just the way they are!  We engage children through interactions that are intentional and support their interests.

Most importantly, we provide a positive  environment that encourages independence and growth while having fun and learning with your friends!
